Beisbolista se enteró del asesinato de su esposa e hijo por Facebook

En agosto del año pasado se registró un triple homicidio en Virginia, Estados Unidos, cuando un joven de 18 años identificado como Matthew Bernard, asesinó a su madre, hermana mayor y el hijo de ella de tan solo un año de edad.  

Poco después del trágico hecho, Bernard fue arrestado después de una persecución de una hora que terminó en un extraño enfrentamiento y con el asesinó completamente desnudo.

La noticia de estas muertes rápidamente se viralizó en redes sociales, y fue así como el esposo de la hermana de Matthew se enteró de lo que había ocurrido. 

Blake Bivens, prospecto de pitcheo de los Rays de Tampa Bay, contó hace poco que se enteró del asesinato de su familia a través de Facebook cuando se encontraba en un aeropuerto para regresar a casa luego de que su equipo le pidiera retornar sin darle más detalles.

“Estaba esperando para abordar un vuelo cuando me metí en mi Facebook desde mi celular y comencé a ver que todos hablaban del asesinato de dos mujeres y un niño en Virginia. Tras investigar más, encontré sus nombres en las noticias. Comencé a gritar en medio del aeropuerto”, narró Bivens en sus redes.  

"Creo que el momento más difícil para mí fue cuando llegué a casa y entré en la habitación de mi hijo por primera vez y me di cuenta de que nunca más volvería a verlo", finalizó el beisbolista.

Nueve meses después el caso de Bernard sigue siendo investigado ya que el joven se ha tenido que someter a varias evaluaciones psicológicas para decidir si puede ser juzgado. 

Según los informes dela policía, el criminal dijo que había actuado "bajo motivación religiosa".
